Korean Hairstyle

Most of us girls took time in styling our hair. I for one do the same everyday. I woke up early just to fix my hair. You know what they say, hair is our crowning glory. It shows what kind of person we are when we took care of hair and style them accordingly. To me I look my best when i have done my hair the best way I could. Since I am a fan of Korean styles, Here are some of the common hairstyle they usually do. This is not a tutorial, just an insight on looks that might suit you best. Enjoy.

1. Short hair can be cute if you got a heart shape face. You will most likely look younger than your age with this hairstyle.

2. I love having a long hair, (i have never had a short hair before since kindergarten) since you can do a lot of hairstyle with it. Style it either straight or wavy.

3. Ponytails can be done in a lot of ways. Your creativity can be tested whit this hairstyle.

4. Bangs makes your face look smaller, and for me it is really cute. I have bangs too, and it goes well with long hair.

5. Different style of ponytails can be done when you have long hair. You will totally look cute with sided ponytail. Add some cute hairclips and your all set.

6. Braids can make you look like a schoolgirl, cute and adorable. Though for me it takes too long to do this kind of hairstyle.

7. Out of all the korean girls hairstyle, I bet this is the most known and famous, the korean bun. It is quite easy to do and really comfortable too. It also work well with bangs.

8. Colored hair is an added style for your hair. Colored it the way you want, just make sure you don't overdo it.

Thank you for your time.

Etude House CC cream

I just heard about this new cosmetic on one of my vain friends (his a gay, mind yah..), and I get interested on trying it out. But it seems it isn't that readily available in the market. Last time I check the net, one of the few cosmetic line that offers it is Chanel and I bet my salary that it is very expensive. So I just wait for it to get known around the globe just like how BB creams take the beauty world by storm. Luckily, I have an acquaintance at work and also a dear friend who has a sister that went to South Korea for a vacation. The said sister went and bought a lot of cosmetics and beauty necessities there and one of her purchase is CC cream. She bought a lot and gave some of them to my friend. My friend (bless her), gave me the CC cream from Etude House saying that she had plenty at home from her sister. And I mean, Etude House! One of the best cosmetic line around. I was actually speechless when she was handing it out to me. I mean what are the odds for me to own one that I almost don't want to open it, nonetheless used it. I felt so lucky that day and grateful to that friend. So on with the reviews, the CC cream itself (correct and care for Etude, but color control for others) is not greasy and easy to apply. I have the Glow CC cream so I don't know what the other ones effect is. It seems that you can used it together with the BB cream. For me it is a correction cream, so when you want a full coverage, used the BB cream. Though what I notice is that after application, my face is too white. Or is it me that apply too much.? LOL I can't compare it, really with my Etude House BB cream, but overall as I used it (I'm waiting for the effects since I just started applying it), I don't have any breakouts and my skin seems a bit lighter than usual. I guess I just have to wait it out for the result.

Everyday Fashion

"You are what you wear", that is the common sayings for fashion aficionados and the likes. And I for one believe in it. The clothes you wear are to me, a way of self expression (duh!). With your fashion, it is like, you are saying to others whom you are and what kind of person is underneath those garments. It is your very statement to the world. To me, the fashion that you follow and the clothes that you wear are like words you tell and impart to other people. It is more like a form of communication that you have with the rest of the planet.

I'm a fan of Korean fashion, so I mainly wear dresses, loose shirts and jackets and shorts. Here are the clothes i wish to acquire one day. If you are an avid fan too, you can use this pics as your starting point in choosing clothes. Most importantly, when you wear this type of clothes, be confident and strut your stuff. You don't need to buy expensive clothes just to look great. I'm not ashamed to say that I am a Divisoria girl; I bought clothes there when I have my rare free time, and when I'm buying I buy like there's no tomorrow.LOL. The clothes are fashionable and affordable. So be at your best. Good luck. (>.<)

Pretty and sassy. Beautiful and simple. Can be worn anytime and anywhere. The days have pass when dresses are only to be worn in special occasions and parties. Dresses makes you a pretty walking barbie. You don't need to be embarrass when wearing this type of garment. Look at me wearing it while reading book on a certain cafe.

You will be the very beauty of the beach with this outfit. The material in this piece is sheer and light. Good during beach or pool outing with friends because it is not too hot to wear. The frills are very cute too (that's what gets me). You will look dazzling and above that you'll be comfortable wearing it.

Casual wear but with flair. Simple combination but totally in sync. Just with this attire you can even go clubbing. You can even wear this at work too (on certain jobs). Geeks will love this outfit because it is easy to assemble. I mean, I am a geek, and most of the time we go for clothes just like this.

Loose clothing is not only the "in" right now, but it was also very comfortable to wear. Great during summer and during concerts. LOL. The jacket is an added bonus in this ensemble. Your a total rock chick in this one.

I think even actresses wears this outfit. Great for when you were hanging out with friends in a resto-bar or something. This is an awesome mix and match.

If I ever come across this outfit, I will totally fight for it. The color is great, the fitting is right on, and the skirt part is awesome. The boots added the overall flair for this. Your like a million dollar gal with this ensemble. Time to hit the grand society.

This is a winter fashion galore for me. I wish I can wear this in my home country. You will look elegant with this coat. ready for work and the great outdoors during the cold weather.

I super duper love this clothes. Awesome color coordination. One of the best street fashion ensemble for me. When you strut this on the mall, everyone's eyes will be looking at you.

Rock chick much? Oh yeah! Can be worn together with shorts or skirts. Great when you were just hanging out with yourself, walking down the hood among the lined up stores. Imagine yourself in Akiba with this outfit. Amazing for any type of occassions.

Oversized jacket is seen in many Korean girls. I will actually wear this one. You will look super cute and can be worn with shorts or leggings. It will go great with boots too. Not too flashy as well.

The Wonders of Cosmetics- Make Up tutorial

My Ulzzang Gal Favorite: Kim Shin Yeong, Ryu Hye Ju, Park Hyo Jin

When I was in highschool, i barely do anything in fixing myself up whenever I go out. I was like, "the hell with all those cosmetics and stuff". In the morning, when I was about to go to school, the only thing I do to prepare myself are to shower, brush my teeth, change clothes, and comb my hair. I'm finished within 30 minutes or so. But then I went to college, then graduated and off to work; I have learned that fixing yourself up isn't that bad of a habit, and so many people notice your looks. I guess it was all thanks to my ever loving and pretty sister that i got suck up to the world of cosmetics. She introduced me to Korean/ Ulzzang way of make up application. Now, I don't even want go out without my make up on. *teehee*

The way I do my make up is more of  Korean style, but in a lighter way and in not so expensive deal. I mean, if I buy expensive make ups, I'll be very poor the very next day. Here is my little tutorial. Hope you like it. (>.<)

~Ikimasu~

1. Before I put my make up on, I cleanse my face, apply toner and moisturize ahead of time. This will help in repleneshing your skin and making it look more healthy and baby like. It makes the skin tighter and flawless. And appearance of zits are lessen. And by being ahead of your make up application, you will let the toner and moisturizer to sooth and set into the skin. Also, when using moisturizer, acquire said products that contains SPF, for sun protection. I used L'Oreal Hydrafresh Toner and Cetaphil Moisturizer with SPF 15. (used cosmetics that your most suited for.)

2. After the skin care regimen, I apply a face primer to my face and neck. This will allow for the make up to stick evenly to the skin, and to allow yourself less time on retouching your make up. This one is optional. You may or may not do this step. I usually use E.L.F. face primer.

3. Next step, apply the ever so famous BB Cream. There's a whole variety of BB Cream products in the market. Choose one that are suited to your skin and to your color. Before I found my loved and most used BB Creams, i have undergone trials and errors, if you will do the same trick, be careful on choosing some products. When you choose for BB Creams, look for those products that are non-comedogenic. I am not saying that some BB creams cause outbreak, it's just we have different skin types, so we have different reactions on differen products. Apply evenly to face. Don't use to much. The BB creams I used are either Etude House Precious Minerals, Laneige BB Cream, Maybelline Clear Smooth and if you have a budget for it, Face Shop BB cream.

4. For extra cover up, i used foundations lightly. Just a brush or so in your face. I don't use the sponge cause it makes the BB Cream you have applied to get uneven. You can use the sponge if you want This is just for some finishing touches. But if you are naturally flawless, i guess you don't need to use it and skip this step. I used either Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine Free Foundation, Etude House Dr Oil Solution Finish Pact or E.L.F. Two Way Cake Foundation.

5. Next step, is to apply some blush. Used pink or peach blushes on the apple of your cheek if your aiming for Korean look. Use blushes brush for even coverage. Don't put too much on your face or else you will look like a clown in a circus. Put enough or as much as possible a lighter shade for a rosy cheeks look. In applying the blush, suck your cheeks in to make the apex of your cheek prominent; blush them outward. You can either use bronzers if you want to contour your face. In applying bronzer, use the "M" technique in the side of your face, just like actually writing the letter M with the use of brush. I used Etude House Baby Pink, Strawberry Mousse and Rose Sugar and for bronzers is E.L.F. Cool Bronzer.

6. Next step is to prep up your eyes. The eyes is the most important part for me in doing my make up. It makes you look beautiful and gorgeous. Puting eyeshadows put more color and texture to your eyes. On my part, I used lighter shade of eyeshadows. Mostly pink, peach, white and light brown. You can use your middle finger in applying them,or use eyeshadow brush instead for contouring them perfectly. When you apply white shimmer on your lower eyelids, please use brush. I used Mineral Eyeshadows Pallette by E.L.F or Etude House Eyeshadows.

7. Time to define the eyes. Use black eyeliner on the upper lid of your eyes. This will make your eyes look bigger and cuter. The way i do mine, I put cream eyeliner first and for finishing touches i apply liquid eyeliner. The looks I have for my eyes differ on my mood, I guess, so style your eyes in a way that you like. I always do Korean style on my eyes. While applying eyeliner, make sure that you cover the whole upper eyelid. You dont want to look like your upper eyelids are floating, don't you? I used E.L.F Cream Liner and Liquid Eyeliner in Black. I sometimes used red eyeliner on my lower eyelid as well.

8. Volumizing your lashes with mascara. When applying mascara, do the bottom part of the upper lashes first then stroke upward in rotating motion. Do this in repetiton until the lashes are full in appearance. No need the use eyecurler. Do the lower lashes as well for doll eye effect. I used Avon SuperShock Max and Maybelline Colossal Mascara.

9. Make your lips naturally thin with lipstick. Since I do Korean make up all the time, I use light shades of lipstick, lip tint and lip gloss. This give you the effect that your lips are natural. Before applying lipstick, i used Maybelline Baby Lips balm as lips moisturizer. Then I apply the lipstick thereafter. I used either Etude House Miss Tangerine Sweet Shower Lips opr Dear Darling Ultra Shine Lips in Coral. For Lip tint, I use Maxfactor.

Random Tips:
* When you want to make your eye make up perfect, you can use eye primer.
* You can use concealer for acne spots or on your eyebags if you think the BB cream you are currently using is not enough to conceal them.
* If you are using circle lenses, put them on first before applying make up.
* If your gonna use false eyelashes; after you put your cream liner apply the lashes first before putting the liquid eyeliner.
* I have come across this tips, after cleansing the face or every after baths, rub the towel on your lips to remove slough skin from it. It make your lips smooth and ready for lipstick.
* Use cosmetics that are suited for you.

I hope you like my amateur tutorial (I am the amateur). Putting make up is up to your style, this is just a guide to help you out. See yah next time. All your suggestions and comments are welcome.
